Week of August 8, 2011, at Fantazzle Fantasy Sports Games

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Good Afternoon,

Many of the players who were traded right before the deadline this season are making good first impressions so far with their new teams. Michael Bourn has started off well with Atlanta, Hunter Pence is swinging a hot bat in Philly, Furcal is hitting well with the Cards and Colby Rasmus is starting to heat up with Toronto.

While the players above will continue to contribute to their fantasy owners’ success, look for these names below to be possible candidates to miss some action in the coming days or weeks:

OF, Melky Cabrera/Kansas City Royals: Melky Cabrera was pulled from Saturday night’s game because of a sore left ankle. He hurt that same left ankle earlier in the week, so he might get extended time off for the ankle to fully recover. He was scratched from Sunday’s game and whether he will play or not on Monday, against the Rays, is yet to be seen. The Royals don’t seem to be making too much of the issue, so for right now it doesn’t seem too serious. Melky is considered day-to-day for now.

C/DH, Victor Martinez/Detroit Tigers: V-mart twisted his knee while trying to avoid a tag at home plate during Saturday’s game. He was scratched from the lineup on Sunday against the Royals. Jim Leyland did say however, that Martinez looked better and was walking around comfortably at the hotel and onto the team bus, which was a very positive sign. Considering this news, look for V-Mart to miss maybe a few starts at worst or none at all. A trip to the DL would be a surprise.

SS, Jose Reyes/New York Mets: Jose Reyes left in the second inning of Sunday’s ball game against Atlanta with tightness in his left hamstring; the same hamstring that landed him on the DL in July. Whether Jose Reyes goes back to the disabled list or not, it doesn’t look like he’ll be a full go for much baseball this week anyway, so keep him on your benches for week 19 of fantasy baseball.

Quick Weekend Wrap Up and the Week Ahead!

Monday, January 10th, 2011

Hello all,

I hope you all survived the exciting weekend of fantasy football playoff games. If the Wild Card round was any indication of how the rest of the playoffs will play out, we are in for a real treat this season. Saturday’s games gave us one of the biggest upsets in NFL playoff history. The Seattle Seahawks proved all the doubters wrong by taking down the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. The New York Jets continued their new rivalry with the Indianapolis Colts, as they stunned the Colts fans in there last minute win.

Sunday also provided some great NFL action for the fans. The Baltimore Ravens dominated the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, en-route to a showdown with their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers. The final game of Wild Card weekend slated two of the NFC’s best teams, the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers continued their winning ways and used a late Mike Vick interception to seal the deal. The Divisional round starts Saturday, and we are set up for some big showdowns both days.

You can get into all the action right here with Fantazzle Fantasy Sports. We had a grow showing for our fantasy football salary cap games which continues throughout the NFL Playoffs. This game let’s you select a roster of players currently in the NFL Playoffs, and they earn you points based off their performance for that round.

Fantazzle has you covered with multiple fantasy games for each sport this winter!

Fantazzle offers two unique but simple fantasy hockey games for NHL fans. If your a die hard hockey fan or just a casual fan getting to know the game, Fantazzle provides you with all the information to get started with the games. We didn’t forget about Basketball either as we feature two fantasy basketball games to entertain your NBA needs. The daily fantasy basketball challenge is one of the most popular fantasy games here on Fantazzle, and draws a large crowd of basketball fans.

This upcoming weekend should be a great one for sports fans, as the NFL Divisional Playoffs kickoff. The remaining four teams look to continue their goal to reach Dallas in February.
