The 2010 World Cup is entering the quarterfinals this Friday without the USA team in competition, but there is still plenty to be excited about, especially for the leaders of our World Cup Bracket game.

The matchups alone should have all soccer fanatics amped for the next round of the tournament, as the action begins on July 2nd with battles between Uruguay and Ghana, and Netherlands and Brazil.

The excitement of the tournament ensues on Saturday, July 3rd, as Argentina takes on Germany, and Paraguay prepares to battle top-ranked Spain.

The 2010 World Cup is finally out of the Group Stage, as the second round of 16 teams is set and ready to take the fields, starting early on Saturday morning.

The first-round of single-elimination begins with Uraguay taking on South Korea, while the United States attempts to continue it’s unlikely and exciting tourney run with it’s second-round match versus Ghana.

While there’s cause for excitement with six other matches stretching out through Thursday, now is the perfect time to check your standings in our World Cup Bracket Game. Pick the two teams you believe will advance from each group (A-H), then select the teams that will advance in each knockout round (Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Final). If you have the most accurate bracket you win $700. The second most accurate bracket wins $150.

To help strengthen a weak bracket, Fantazzle is allowing you to earn extra points by referring friends to our site. For each friend you refer from June 1 to July 11, you receive 1 point added to your overall score. The team with the most friend referrals from June 1st to July 11th receives $150 in their account. The friend must activate a Fantazzle account and only two referrals from the same IP address will be counted towards the overall total. In case of a tie, recurring FanStock points will be totaled to determine the winner.
