Another exciting week of playoff fantasy football in the books. Tom Brady led the day with 363 yards passing on top of 6 touchdowns and 1 pick. Drew Brees was next in line for top quarterback performers. He threw for 462 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Eli Manning was also solid once again putting up his stat line of 330/3/1 in a win against the heavy favorites, Green Bay Packers.

Arian Foster was the lone 100-yard rusher in week 19. He ran for 131 yards and 1 touchdown on 27 carries, but it was not enough to beat the Baltimore Ravens. On the receiving end of things, there were plenty of big time players in week 19. Vernon Davis was huge in his game against the Saints and came up big, play after play. Davis finished the day with 7 catches, 180 yards and 2 scores. Rob Gronkowski was magnificent also, recording 10 receptions for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Hakeem Nicks made several game changing plays, ending the night at 7/165/2. Marques Colston went 9/136/1, Darren Sproles went 15/119/1, Andre Johnson 8/111 and Jimmy Graham 5/103/2. All of these players most certainly come with a high price tag in fantasy football playoff games and this is why.

On to 2012 fantasy basketball, Kobe Bryant is the number one guy right now in terms of fantasy ranking. He has scored at least 40 points in 4 consecutive games (4 out of the last 5). I guess the guy really does still have something noteworthy left in the tank. Kevin Durant is right behind him though with LeBron James ranked third. I would say these guys are definitely worth the hefty price tag in all fantasy basketball game formats.

Be sure to check out all our cool fantasy sports games at Fantazzle. Play to win prize money or play the free games for the fun of it. As alway have a safe and productive week.

The fantasy football playoff games are in full swing at Fantazzle. At quarterback, once again, Drew Brees headlines our report as he threw for 466 yards and 3 touchdowns on Wild Card Weekend. Matthew Stafford was right behind him though with 380/3/2. Most impressive was Tim Tebow’s heroic efforts against the vaunted Steelers. Tebow finished his day with 316 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. He also carried 10 times for 50 yards and a score.

Arian Foster led the playoff weekend for running backs with 153 yards and 2 scores on 24 carries. Isaac Redman is next in line for fantasy running back accolades as he ran for 121 yards on 17 touches. He would have had a touchdown, but got clipped up right at the goaline.

Calvin Johnson was a man amongst boys this Wild Card Weekend. Against the Saints, Megatron pulled in 12 catches for 211 yards and 2 TD’s. Demaryius Thomas had 4, 204 and 1, Marques Colston went 7 for 120 and Hakeem Nicks finished his day with 6, 115 and 2. It was an exciting week of first round playoff fantasy football and we can’t wait for more of the same next week.

In the world of weekly fantasy basketball games, things are popping off already. Zach Randolph has a torn medial collateral knee ligament which is going to sideline him for the next seven weeks! Marreese Speights was traded to Memphis over from Philly to help fill the void for Memphis while Randolph sits out. Speights debuted with a 17 point, 7 rebound effort Sunday against the Lakers–pick him up, Marreese Speights has proved effective when given the minutes.

If your playing weekly salary cap fantasy basketball and you need some bang for your buck, go with Ryan Anderson, power forward/center for the Orlando Magic. He’s currently the 6th ranked fantasy player and he’ll be a bit cheaper then some of the other big name forwards. He’ll get you the same type of numbers or if not better! He can hit three’s, grab rebounds and score points as his season averages are 18 pts/7.3 rebs/ 3.2 3ptm per game. Another guy I like this season is Jose Calderon. He’s fourth in the league in total assists behind Rajon Rondo, Steve Nash and Derrick Rose. Calderon is averaging 12.4 pts and 9.4 assists a game. He won’t be too expensive in the salary cap format, so make good use of him and ride him to your weekly prize money.

PLAYOFF FANTASY FOOTBALL GAMES–>PLAY NOW

As always, be sure to get on over to Fantazzle, play the fantasy games and make use of this good information. Also, be sure to listen to our weekly fantasy sports podcast which will be airing on WeeklyFantasySportal.com shortly, hosted by me, Fantazzle David. I’ll be talking about all things fantasy basketball, fantasy baseball and of course, fantasy football. Take care and have a great week.

Jumping right into things, Matt Ryan (22/320/4) and Tony Romo (21/321/4) led the day in fantasy points for quarterbacks. Late in the second half against Tennessee, Drew Brees salvaged his fantasy day finishing right behind Tony Romo and Matt Ryan with 36 completions, 337 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tom Brady was the 4th best fantasy QB in week 14, finishing with 22/357/3.

Mojo, Maurice Jones-Drew, was the big story among non-quarterbacks in fantasy this week. He finished with 85 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground to go along with another 6 catches for 51 yards and 2 more touchdowns–a total of 4 touchdowns on the day! Mojo is our MVP for week 14. Tight end, Rob Gronkowski was our second MVP of the day, finishing behind Maurice Jones-Drew for most fantasy points scored among non-quarterbacks. Gronkowski had 6 catches, 160 yards and 2 touchdowns. He now has 15 receiving touchdowns on the season, which is a new, NFL single-season record.

Shonn Greene had 129 yards on the ground with a touchdown and 3 catches for 58 yards, while Marques Colston continued to stay hot with 7/105/2. Larry Fitzgerald went 7/149/1 and on Thursday night, Antonio Brown was the man, finishing with 5/151/1. If your still playing weekly fantasy football, roll all of these guys with confidence.

On to major injuries, Greg Jennings is the headline for week 14. Against Oakland, Jennings may have torn his MCL, which would take about 2-6 for recovery. That means that he’ll probably be done for all 2011 weekly fantasy football games. Look for Donald Driver to try and step in and fill the void. Ben Roethlisberger suffered a high left ankle sprain on Thursday night football, but was able to return to the game in the second half. If he was able to come back in the game on Thursday, then the long week of rest will get him ready for his next game against San Francisco on Monday night.

Adrian Peterson missed his third straight game with that bum ankle, but plans to play in week 15 against New Orleans. Nate Washington was able to tough out his ankle injury and was able to put up a 6/130/1 line against the Saints. Mario Manningham returned from a knee injury suffered in practice a couple weeks ago and was back to his old ways of dropping Eli’s perfect looking touchdown passes.

Everyone be sure to check out all our cool games over at Fantazzle. We feature brand new college fantasy football games and would love for you to give them a try. The 2011 fantasy basketball season will also be getting underway during Christmas day, so be sure to come over and get your prize money lineups set! As always, enjoy the week.

Happy Monday,

After tonight’s Patriot/Chiefs game, another week of 2011 fantasy football action will be in the books, but not without it’s set of injuries and high scorer updates. Let’s take a look.

Matthew Stafford had the biggest day among all quarterbacks on Sunday, tossing 28 completions for 335 yards, 5 TD’s and 2 INT’s. If it weren’t for his iffy finger and that glove on his throwing hand, I would have started him over Eli Manning who went 18/264/1/1–darn it!

Running back Kevin Smith totaled 201 yards from scrimmage with 3 touchdowns and 6 receptions. Can you say, welcome back Kevin? Definitely look to try and add him to your roster this week in all weekly fantasy football game formats.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 299, 3 TD’s and a pick, Roddy White had a 7 catch, 147 yard game, Jordy Nelson kept his hot streak alive with a 6/123/2 performance and Torrey Smith got behind secondaries again this week finishing with 6/65/1. Let’s not forget about our boy nasty Nate Washington who finished his day off with 9/115/2.

Nate Washington is having a career year right now, so roll him while he’s hot! Johnny Knox had easily his best game of the season this week with 3/97/1 and 74 return yards for those of you in return yardage leagues. Let’s see if he does that again in week 12.

SALARY CAP FANTASY FOOTBALL: TURKEY DAY SPECIAL–> PLAY NOW!

As always, the week just wouldn’t be the same without it’s new set of injuries, so let’s get started. Adrian Peterson limped off the field in the first quarter with a left ankle injury after rushing for 26 yards and a touchdown. It looked as though he was getting ready to have a big game and then he got hurt. For now, he’s considered day-to-day with a high ankle sprain, but he might have to miss a game or two. Should that be the case, Toby Gerhart would be in line for extra work.

For updates, fantasy line-up help, fun conversation on who to sit and start, key match-ups and guys we like to have big, productive weeks or down weeks, listen to our WEEKLY FANTASY FOOTBALL PODCAST presented by Fantasy Football Sportal, or you can just look over to the right hand side and listen to them right there from the green podcast box.

LaDainian Tomlinson missed the Thursday night game against the Broncos with a sprained MCL, but plans on playing this Sunday against Buffalo. Shonn Greene started on Thursday night and was supposed to have a big game with LT out, but was forced to leave early with a rib cage injury. He expects to pay this Sunday as well.

As a result, Joe Mcknight saw an increase in work and filled in admirably. He ran for 59 yards, caught 6 passes for 62 yards and had 39 return yards as well. Julio Jones did not play against the Titans with a bum hamstring, so again, Harry Douglass saw extra targets. Douglass finished with a modest 4 catch 51 yard day.

Week 10 in the NFL gave us yet another exciting day of football. There were plenty of big performances and of course, lots of injuries to go around. Let’s take a look at which players either helped or hurt their owners the most this week in 2011 weekly fantasy football games. Laurent Robinson filled in admirably for the ailing Miles Austin by grabbing 3 catches for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. That’s his third straight game with at least one touchdown catch and will get the start again next week against the struggling Redskins.

Rob Gronkowski is playing like he’s the best tight end in the league right now. On Sunday night against the Jets, Gronkowski was targeted often and early en route to an 8 catch, 113 yard, 2 touchdown game. The guy is fast, big, can catch and Tom Brady loves going to him, so I wouldn’t bet my chips on anyone else right now at the TE position.

Arian Foster got loose on the Tampa Bay Bucs for 2 touchdowns on 186 total yards and 4 receptions. What else is new? Tony Romo had easily one of his best games of the season with a 148.4 passer rating against the Bills. He completed 23 passes for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald also had a huge day in week 10, catching 7 passes for 146 and 2 scores. Demarco Murray also had another highly productive game. He ran for 135 yards, 1 touchdown and caught 6 passes for 36 yards. Roll these guys with confidence for your fantasy football salary cap games in week 11.

As for injuries, Knowshon Moreno tore his ACL in the first quarter against Kansas City. Consider him done for the year! Lance Ball should make for a worthy add, as he ran for 96 yards on 30 carries against K.C. Miles Austin is slated to miss two more weeks with that hamstring, so make sure to add Laurent Robinson for the time being–all leagues. Jermaine Gresham returned to action after missing his last two games with a bum hamstring and went 4/23/1. Andre Johnson missed his 6th game this week even though he had been running for most of the week in practice. Jacoby Jones and Arian Foster were the beneficiaries. Kevin Walter kept on run blocking.

Greetings everyone,

Week 9 in the NFL was a very exciting one. Weekly fantasy football managers got to enjoy the shootout between Green Bay and San Diego. Philip Rivers had easily his best game of the season with 385 yards and 4 touchdown passes. His score of 30 would have been higher if it weren’t for his 3 picks! Vincent Jackson had a huge day as well with 7 catches for 145 yards and 3 TD’s. Whoever had that QB/receiver combo on their fantasy team this week must have surely won their game.

Aaron Rodgers had a monstrous day too, throwing 4 touchdowns on 247 yards. Julio Jones finally broke through and caught the first touchdown passes of his young career. He finished the day with 3 catches for 131 yards and 2 scores. Arian Foster, Mike Tolbert, Michael Bush and Reggie Bush also had big Sundays with over 20 Fantazzle points each.

Kevin Faulk had a solid showing in week 8, and was supposed to play in week 9, but was ruled inactive just before kick off. In a time where bye weeks are still with us, Faulk could have been a nice fill-in play. Hakeem Nicks missed game action this week with a hamstring injury. It sounds as if he should be able to play in week 10. Malcom Floyd missed his game against the Packers with an ailing hip. Too bad though, he could have been a part of that shootout, but instead all the numbers went to Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates.

Joseph Addai was active for his game against the Falcons, but didn’t record a single carry or catch. Addai is dealing with a hamstring issue himself. I wouldn’t recommend him for any weekly salary cap fantasy football games even when healthy at this point. Ahmad Bradshaw was ruled out for week 9′s game against New England as he deals with a broken bone in his foot. It won’t require surgery, yet, but is the kind of nagging injury that can limit his production for the rest of the season. Brandon Jacobs shouldered the load with 18 carries, 72 yards, a touchdown and even added 4 catches for 28 yards.

Greetings everyone,

Just a quick reminder to top off your accounts today before the last re-deposit bonus of 2011 expires. Click here to make a deposit at Fantazzle Fantasy Sports now and get up to $200 for free. This is our way of thanking you, for depositing with us! As usual, let’s take a look at the players who had big weeks. Keep posted on our Monday blog session if you want to stay ahead and gain an edge on the competition.

Fred Jackson and LeSean McCoy each had yet another big fantasy day. Jackson ran for 120 yards and caught 3 passes for 74 yards; no touchdowns, but still highly productive. McCoy had a huge Sunday night game carrying the ball a career-high 30 times for 185 yards and 2 scores. He also added 2 catches for 15 yards.

Adrian Peterson got loose again on Sunday and is statistically, the best fantasy running back right now. AP totaled 162 yards from scrimmage and 2 touchdowns. These three running backs are the money makers for fantasy owners right now–all leagues. Antonio Brown is always a good sneaky play this year if you need a cheap receiver in fantasy football salary cap games. In week 8, Antonio Brown tallied 9 catches, 67 yards and a touchdown. He also added 93 return yards for those of you in leagues with points in the return game.

On to injuries, Hakeem Nicks aggravated his hamstring in the second half against Miami. He came out of the game and did not return. Before leaving, Nicks finished with 6 catches for 67 yards. Percy Harvin was able to play through his nagging rib injury and managed to score a rushing touchdown. Against popular thought, Beanie Wells was able to play against Baltimore and ran for 83 yards and a touchdown. The bad news is that he said he expects his knee issue to be a lingering problem for the rest of the season. We might want to stay away from him in weekly fantasy football salary cap games.

Lastly, the Fantasy Football Freeroll presented by Scorebig.com is Now Live and you can compete for over $200 in free prizes.

Matt Forte wasn’t one of the big time, high scorers for week 6 in the 2011 fantasy football season, but he still put together yet another solid game for his owners. Watching Matt Forte run the ball, he looks smooth and always seems to be gaining positive yardage, in big chunks too! I would use his services in salary cap leagues almost every week until he slows down. LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson and Rashard Mendenhall all had big games this week, going over 120 rushing yards each and a touchdown. Josh Freeman finally broke through with a good QB performance going for 23 completions, 303 yards and 2 touchdowns. One more game like that from him and maybe we can start picking him as a cheap QB option in fantasy football weekly salary cap games.

Tight end, Jimmy Graham had a huge day with 7 catches for 124 yards, and Marques Colston had his first big game of the season bringing in 7 catches, for 118 yards and a score. Lets not forget Frank Gore who had a huge day on the ground too, with 141 yards and a TD. Michael Turner got loose on the grond with 139 and 2, while Devin Hester torched it up on Sunday night with a kick return touchdown and a deep bomb touchdown from Jay Cutler. Hester finished the night with 5 rec, 91, 1 and 134 return yards and the touchdown. Adrian Peterson seemed to be held in check this week with only 39 yards on the ground, but still managed to produce a score, typical AP. Brees was Brees, Brady was Brady and Tony Romo did good too this week, lets move on to injuries.

LeGarrette Blount missed the game this week with a bum knee. The Bucs are saying that he could be out for another couple weeks or so. With the way Earnest Graham produced at tail back this past weekend, I wouldn’t expect the Bucs to rush LeGarrette Blount back into the mix. Look for Earnest Graham to produce quality numbers as the starter. Joseph Addai missed week 6 action with a sensitive hamstring. He might also miss week 7, so look for Donald Brown and Delone Carter to get all the work again next week if Addai can’t go. Brandon Jacobs missed his first game of the season with a hurt knee. We have no word yet on when he’ll be back. He could possibly come back after the Giants’ week 7 bye week.

Week 5 of the 2011 fantasy football season had plenty of big games for us managers. As I predicted in our weekly start’em sit’em podcast, Adrian Peterson went off on the Arizona Cardinals for bigger days than Darren McFadden and Arian Foster. Peterson totaled 122 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Kudos to anyone who selected him in our weekly salary cap fantasy football games at Fantazzle. Eli Manning also got loose in week 5 putting up 420 passing yards with three touchdowns and three picks against Seattle. The law firm, BenJarvus Green-Ellis was another bright spot in fantasy football for week 5. He ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns, adding in one catch for 13 yards.

Nate Washington’s day was held in check as I predicted because of that Pittsburgh pass defense, but Matt Hasselbeck did a little better than we expected. I had him getting shut down playing against the Steelers pass D. Victor Cruz also came out and had himself a day with 8 catches for 161 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy was LeSean McCoy and Drew Brees was Drew Brees. LeGarrette Blount was held in check against San Franciso, like we thought and we will see what happens tonight on Monday night football–Lions vs. Bears. All of our week 5 fantasy player predictions can be heard by clicking the link.

Joseph Addai left the game in the second quarter against K.C. with an apparent hamstring injury. Addai said that when you hurt your hamstring, you can feel it tear. This one, he said, felt like a grab, so it could be minor, but stay updated and be ready to scoop Delone Carter who would be in line for most of the touches should Addai need to sit out week 6 and beyond. LeGarrette Blount also left his game with an injury, for him, it was a knee. The Buccaneers were getting blown out all day anyway, so this may have just been something precautionary. We’ll know more about Blount on Wednesday or Thursday. If you have the room on your roster, I would add Earnest Graham just to be safe.

Be sure to check out all our fantasy games and if you haven’t been playing with us already, you need to! Weekly NFL salary cap games will be starting as usual at 1 pm this Sunday. Our college fantasy football games will be kicking off this Thursday at 8 pm. Come and try your luck against the best, if you beat us, then you’re doing something right!

As always, have fun with it and enjoy the week

Week 4 in the NFL is already by us with the exception of Monday night’s game featuring the Buccaneers and Colts. My, how quickly the season goes on. With week 5 upon us and bye weeks sure to screw some managers over, now is the time that you will either pay for your drafting mistakes or benefit from them. Drafting a team that is deep and not just “starter heavy” is crucial to not only fantasy football success, but fantasy sports success in general. Being too “starter heavy” is when your starting roster is full of studs, but you have no talent on the bench in case of injuries and of course, bye weeks.

So, hopefully you not only drafted your team carefully, but you took the time to make certain pickups and/or trades in order to evenly balance your team out so that you are strong on all fronts and strong in case of any roster related disasters. For those who aren’t in leagues, but are playing the monthly or weekly fantasy football leagues, then it’s business as usual for you. Look to exploit certain match-ups in week 5, look for players that have been hot and on a roll and keep the big money for those big time QB’s like Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

For anyone playing our weekly and/or monthly fantasy football games, the way things have been looking so far this season, players I would generally lean toward regardless of who they’re playing on the schedule when selecting your lineups are Adrian Peterson, Fred Jackson, Vincent Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Hakeem Nicks and Wes Welker. These guys just seem unstoppable right now, so roll them with confidence.

More salary cap fantasy football games and fantasy football challenge games will be starting at 1 o’clock as usual on Sunday, October 9th. Also, it’s still not too late to sign up and register to play Lingerie Fantasy Football powered by Fantazzle. Get in the game and watch these honeys go to battle, it’s some serious business out there, these girls are hitting, they don’t play and they’re sexy too!

2011 Fantasy baseball playoffs are also underway at Fantazzle. Didn’t have such good luck during the regular season? No sweat, try your luck in the post-season and see how you do.

As always, enjoy the week, and have some fun! Be sure to check out our weekly Fantazzle podcasts’ as well for some more fantasy football conversation and advice:
