ATTENTION - Why read another fantasy football site that posts 2010 fantasy football rankings?

Because in 2008, Fantazzle Fantasy Football Games was recognized as the #1 fantasy football player ranking site among the top names in the fantasy football industry. The award was given by the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, FFLibrarian and the NYTimes fantasy football blog is where you can see the results. There were over 20 fantasy football sites in the contest and those sites are widely known as the best sources for fantasy football advice and projections.

2010 Fantasy Football Rankings

As described above in 2008 Fantazzle won a major fantasy football award according to the NYTimes. Fantazzle at the time was five months old. We went up against over twenty (20) of THE best fantasy sports sites (you all ever hear of YaCPN or ESBShoo?) or straight no messin’ around fantasy football sites period (which all seem to have roto in their name, which according to Wikipedia means broken). I gotta believe you all may have come across these sites along with just a ‘few’ fantasy football magazines over the past few years. I think the number of available fantasy magazines this year FINALLY surpassed the tattoo/motorcycle/wave runner segment, a major victory for the fantasy football industry. Now who’s just a fad?

Now to be fair, this was in 2008 (I can’t believe we are not mentioned anywhere on that link). In 2009? We would rather say we didn’t get our picks in time, but we did and they included Matt Forte among other high profile Bears names classified as under-rated. Let’s just say if the Chicago Bears didn’t ever exist, we would have done pretty well. So we got that going for us… Last year, some compamy called ESBShoo won, wait I got that wrong, it was CBS (congrats!) who probably weren’t so high on Forte, Matt 22 RB (CHI). We will be back on the map this year so we don’t become Michael Clayton (WR)…. who reminds me a lot of Matt Forte last year. What makes it worst is I knew better. Never trust a dude w/ a accent aigu…this isn’t only a fantasy rule, but a life rule that I live by day to day.

Nevertheless – 2008. Created Fantazzle, a daily and weekly fantasy football game company and won the fantasy ranking award. A great start for Fantazzle and just the beginning of more things to come. Just this year, we were invited to be a pro fantasy football player in a great fantasy football game in its 2nd year - RapidDraft. It’s free this year so what do you have to lose, what ~20-30min? I know what you have to win – over $150,000! The great thing about RapidDraft and Fantazzle’s fantasy games are that it is not a random contest with a name drawn out of a hit, they are games which allow your skills determine your outcomes. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have my skills determine if I win or lose rather than a lucky number.

Enough! Lets get on with it. So, the projections below will be Fantazzle’s submission to the 2010 Fantasy Football Accuracy Challenge award. The point system is simple and we are only looking at QB/RB/WR/TE. No points per reception (PPR) and four points for a QB TD. And with that, please enjoy the rankings through agreement or whole heartedly ‘Youuuuu IDIOT!!!!’ I will respond to all comments that are not spam, personally!

Hi all,
Ryan Parr here. I am the founder/CEO of Fantazzle Fantasy Sports Games. We have been getting a lot of questions about the status of our 2010 fantasy football player rankings. Ever since we were recognized as the #1 fantasy football player ranking site for the 2008 NFL season by the FF Librarian and the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, we have had a great following of loyal fantasy readers that we have had the pleasure of interacting with on this very fantasy sports blog, on our Fantasy Sports Twitter Account and on at least one of our many specific fantasy sports pages on Facebook like our Fantasy Football Facebook page. And of course we can’t forget to mention the Fantazzle fantasy site itself.

Allow me a quick moment to reflect, as its been a lot of work from when we started in Sept 2008, up until the very changes you’re seeing now. Three years of hard work, but we have continued to grow and make progress EVERY day and that’s what it’s all about.

I must say that these past three years haven’t been just about the world of business and business lessons, but life lessons with one of the bigger ones learning who your colleagues and friends are. With that, I thank everyone for their part and I look forward to the next three years.

And back to Fantazzle’s 2010 Fantasy Football Player Rankings. We are looking at Monday to start a series of fantasy football player ranking blog posts that will span a few days to build the suspense and tension that all good blogs do (well, that and the work we are doing for the start of the fantasy football season is intense and needs to be done as well).

Speaking of which, if you go to the fantasy games site now, you will see the beginning of a few of the changes you’ll see in the coming weeks. We hope you like the redesign. We believe you will because most of he modifications came from YOU, the user directly, and since these games and everything we do is about the user, it only makes sense to make changes to fit the user.

I look forward to speaking to all of you in the days to come as we start to countdown the two weeks left until that first Sunday aptly named Week One!

2010 NFL Pro Bowler and Baltimore Raven RB Ray Rice is the new official sponsor of Fantazzle. With football season just around the corner, look for exciting fantasy football game promotions featuring Ray Rice to appear.

This is not the first time that Fantazzle has teamed up with a NFL player. In 2009, Steve Smith of the New York Giants joined the Fantazzle team and offered special fantasy football promotional games. Weekly fantasy football games had winners receiving autographed prizes from Smith. We also gave away a Pro Bowl trip for two if Fantazzle members voted for Steve Smith to reach the Pro Bowl.

Expect many similar games this upcoming football season with Ray Rice. We will be offering weekly fantasy football games that will include Ray Rice autographed materials and cash prizes. Expect other Ray Rice related games throughout the season as well.

Rice is poised to improve on his 2009 fantasy numbers when he was one of the top backs in the NFL. With an improved offense, Rice is projected to be a top back in the league yet again. Be sure to draft him in your 2010 fantasy football league.

Follow Ray Rice and Fantazzle on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest, breaking news on Ray Rice and Fantazzle.

Hi all,

Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Football Games is always trying something new and giving our users what they want. We have had several requests to make Thursday (and now Saturday games) relevant to our lineup of fantasy football games. So this week, we are introducing a new fantasy football salary cap game that will use players ONLY from this week’s Thursday and Saturday game.

And there is no time better to play this fantasy football game. Over 60% of fantasy football fans seasons are over due to bad years in their traditional fantasy football leagues plus these are two incredible games. Both 13-0 teams are playing, the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, which both host some exciting fantasy football players. Now, thats not to say your going to have a lineup with Peyton, Brees, R Wayne, etc. This is a salary cap fantasy football game so you’ll get a few stars, but you’ll have to watch you budget. You’ll have to pick and choose wisely staying under a $1,000,000 salary cap.

This fantasy football game should be great for fans starting to go through some fantasy football withdrawal PLUS make these games exciting to watch. I’ll watch NFL games at any chance I get, but I know I’m the minority and not the former. I watched all 60 minutes of the Oakland/Washington game on Sunday (it was the only one on TV for me). Thats just me. But I know its tough for some to watch games when the the NFL team they support is not playing AND they have no fantasy football players playing. Makes the NFL game just a tad more boring. This special fantasy game hopes to combat this for you all. Sign up before the game starts on Thursday night at 8:20pm ET and be rewarded with the cash prize Saturday night after the NFL game ends. You’ll have the money deposited in your account IMMEDIATELY following the football game to give you plenty of time to register for our regular weekly fantasy football games that start on Sunday at 1pm ET.

Hope you all find these special fantasy football games exciting to play!

Also, if you missed it last week, we started a new fantasy football promotion. Besides our Steve Smith free fantasy football salary cap game (also make sure to vote for Steve Smith promotion presented by Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Football Games for the 2010 Pro Bowl to win free tickets to the NFL Pro Bowl, airfare, hotel and dinner with Steve), we are offering another free fantasy football game and all you have to do is follow Fantazzle on Twitter. Follow us now and you can receive the URL for this free football game and win a cash prize.

Take care,

Hi all,

I’d imagine that ~90% of head to head traditional fantasy football leagues have started their playoffs or this last weekend will determine your playoffs. We are here to tell you about Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Football Games. This isn’t a set your lineup advice fantasy football playoff article. If your looking for that, I recommend the following sites for that:

Fighting Chance Fantasy – three podcasts a week and these guys know what they’re talking about. Not only that, but they are entertaining to listen to. Not an easy combo for podcasts. Check out Fighting Chance Fantasy website or go to Fantazzle’s fantasy sports community page for the latest podcast.

Nova Fantasy Sports – great site for individual fantasy football player news and articles on fantasy football strategy. We use Nova’s info on Fantazzle’s fantasy football news section of our website.

Fantasy Football Librarian – Great fantasy football blog with links to just about every relevant start/sit site out there.

Fantasy Smack Talk - one of the better put together video casts about fantasy football.

The League – ok this is not a fantasy football tip site, but to follow up on my article on The League, give this sitcom a try. Funny funny stuff!

So now that I have some great fantasy football advice sites out of the way, here’s the main reason for the article. Given ~90% of traditional fantasy football leagues have started or are about to start their fantasy football playoffs that means there are a minimum of 60% of fantasy football teams without anything to do. Thats where Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Football Games come in. You can continue to play fantasy football all year by playing in our fantasy games. You can create new teams every week and continue to play fantasy football. Not only that, but Week 17 and the NFL football playoffs are right around the corner and at that time 99% of league seasons will be over. Fantazzle Football Games has got you covered by that as well. We’ll have games all the way up to the NFL Super Bowl.

If you haven’t tried Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Games yet, now is the perfect time to give them a shot.

Sign up now and play in our entry fee games or you can try out our Steve Smith (NYG) free fantasy football game.

Don’t let your fantasy football season end so soon, sign up now!

Hi all,

As many of you know, Fantazzle Weekly Fantasy Games has partnered with Steve Smith of the New York Giants in his 2010 Pro Bowl Contest. The winner of this contest will win 2 tix to the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl, hotel, airfare, and dinner with Steve. During the contest, Fantazzle is running free fantasy football games to win free gear from Steve Smith. The free contests will run for the next week and we already had our first free Steve Smith fantasy football game and winner this past week.

Congrats to hedrush who pulled off of a come from behind victory on Monday night. I wrote an earlier post about the leaders of the free fantasy football contest and those who had a chance leading up to NFL MNF. hedrush wasn’t even listed. He was way behind in points so he wasn’t on our radar. But like any given week, Drew Brees can change that very quickly. Couple him with Marques Colston and those 60 points put him over the top. hedrush finished with 147 pts with bdubya3 and BayMan3205 tying for 2nd/3rd with 139 pts each.

I wrote hedrush earlier to congratulate him and you couldn’t ask for a perfect winner as he thanked Fantazzle and added that he has Steve Smith in both of his traditional fantasy football leagues. It was fate from the beginning!

As an aside, the Steve Smith 2010 Pro Bowl Contest is well underway and we believe that Steve deserves a look for all of you Pro Bowl voters out there. He’s in the top 10 for fantasy football WRs and even higher in points per reception leagues (PPR). He deserves every fantasy football players consideration and he has been one of the best players in fantasy football this year. Numbers don’t lie.

So the first free fantasy football contest is over with 3 more to go. Make sure you sign up before the first NFL game on Sunday begins. Spread the word if you like the contest. If we get more entries into the game, we will expand the prize pool and have more than one winner. Its up to you all to get this done. We will run a referral promotion during the Steve Smith free games. Simply refer your friends and shoot us an email at stevesmith@fantazzle.com with your friend’s email and/or username and we will give you an extra prize if you win the free football game. You’ll win the prize of the week plus we will give you a $25 credit to your Fantazzle account to play all of our fantasy games. Help Fantazzle build our fantasy site and we will help you build your account balance. Nothing to lose and a lot to gain!

With a quarter left in the Sunday night Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens game AND of course the huge fantasy relevant Monday night football games (MNF) between New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots (talk about some big fantasy names in that game), here’s an update on the standings for our first Steve Smith Free Fantasy Football Salary Cap Game:

These teams are playing for a Steve Smith autographed football for this week -

There’s a tie for first place between HadYock and gergman1 with 133 points. Unless Wes Welker scores 0 or negative points, gergman1 will have the edge (he has Welker). ukula at #5 is the next closest for a shot to get the prize with 117 points and Randy Moss playing tomorrow. GBPackerFan has an outside shot as well with 110 points and Colston playing tomorrow. Lastly, SIMBAKINGS has 104 pts with Welker and Brady tomorrow. Long shot, but it could happen.

You can see all the standings for the Steve Smith fantasy football salary cap game here.

Good luck to all teams. For those who won’t be taking home the prize this week or weren’t able to sign up, make sure to enter for the chance to play next week’s free fantasy football game. The game will be available tomorrow.

Make sure you sign up for the Steve Smith 2010 Pro Bowl Campaign! These fantasy games are supplement to the free tix you can win to the 2010 Pro Bowl.

Hi all,

Wanted to let you know about a GREAT podcast out there from Fighting Chance Fantasy. Jeff Mans and Ryan Hallum make it exciting and interact with all their fans by email, live chat or a call in number. They have three shows every week and are giving you the scoop on all things fantasy football. Fighting Chance gave Fantazzle Fantasy Football Games a chance to be on this show this past Tuesday (thanks fellas!) and I recommend you give it a listen.
