2011 Fantasy sports at Fantazzle

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Hopefully everyone is having a great time with the fantasy games that we have to offer. Fantasy football is definitely our specialty and we’re excited about having a big and successful season. Keep on playing those games, keep on earning that fanstock and keep on winning that money. As always, Fantazzle will be offering a ton of weekly NFL and college fantasy football games.

We have updated our pick’em game as well. For example, you will now see more match-ups with the same players competing against each other in the game in real life, to be available for picking in the fantasy game. So for example, this week, the Dolphins and Browns faced off, so a match-up you might see to choose from in the pick’em game would be Daniel Thomas or Peyton Hillis. This allows for faster results in the scoring. Below is the upcoming schedule for this week’s games and their start times for the week.

Thursday:

College Fantasy Football Challenge – 8 pm EDT

College Fantasy Football Salary Cap – 8 pm EDT

Sunday:

Month Long Fantasy Football Salary Cap Game, Weeks 4-8 – start time: Oct 2, 1 pm EDT

Weekly Fantasy Football Salary Cap Game, Oct 2 – Oct 3 – start time: 1 pm EDT

Fantasy Football Challenge Game, Oct 2 – Oct 3 – start time: 1 pm EDT

The baseball season here at Fantazzle is not done yet either! We still have 2011 Fantasy baseball playoffs going on as well. Choose your team from the remaining playoff teams in the MLB. As always folks, enjoy the entire week and enjoy another week of fantasy sports here at Fantazzle.

Thanks, Fantazzle David

2011 Fantazzle Fantasy Football has finally kicked off!

Monday, September 12th, 2011

We finally got to enjoy a full Sunday of the NFL and fantasy football action. Leagues all over the globe were in full swing yesterday and tonight, Monday, with the Patriots facing the Dolphins, week 1 of 2011 fantasy football will be winding down to a close. There were plenty of big winners over the weekend at Fantazzle and there will be plenty more to come. Start flipping your money with your fantasy knowledge already. Throw down some money on one of the 2011 salary cap fantasy football games and see what you got–college or pros.

The MLB season is winding down to a close too. Most fantasy baseball leagues are in finals right now, so for those individuals, we’ll fill you in on those major names either coming or going for this week of fantasy baseball.

2B, Rickie Weeks/Milwaukee Brewers: Weeks has been out of game action since July 27 when he severely sprained his left ankle running and falling hard on a play to first base. In his second appearance on Sunday (first start) since being back from the DL, Weeks drew a walk and was also hit by a pitch–what a tough way to comeback. It shouldn’t take long for Rickie Weeks to find his power stroke again, but with the 2011 fantasy baseball season nearing it’s end, we might just have to wait until next year to enjoy Rickie’s stellar production lines again.

OF, Nelson Cruz/Texas Rangers: Nelson Cruz is looking to make it back to the field by sometime before Wednesday. He’s been on the DL as of late with hamstring issues. Those of you in weekly finals match-ups, you’ve got to leave him benched. Daily leaguers, just wait until further notice.

1B, Justin Morneau/Minnesota Twins: Out since Aug 28th, Justin Morneau hasn’t been cleared yet to play with his concussion symptoms. He’s hitting only .227 anyway, so even if he does get healthy and cleared to play, it’s not like he won’t be doing much for the remainder of 2011 regardless.

If you didn’t already join the festivities for week 1 of salary cap fantasy football and college salary cap fantasy football, join us for week 2. For the winners from week 1, play again, you have to play your money while your hot! Keep it rollin’. What are you going to do with one prize winning? Bet that prize money again, and flip your cake until you reach a thousand–now we’re talking.

And if you lose everything, so what? All you lose is your initial investment which I’m sure you can probably get back rather easily somehow. Deposit again, and this time hope for a win. Fantasy sports is very streaky. The name of the game is to cash in on those times when you are hot, that is when there is money to be made.

Enjoy the week

First week of 2011 College Fantasy Football at Fantazzle coming to a close!

Monday, September 5th, 2011

With tonight’s game between Maryland and Miami (FL), the first week of college fantasy football for the first time ever at Fantazzle will be winding down to a close. As expected, it sure was an exciting first week as we saw many high scores in all of the money games. So now this is business as usual.

For week 2 of salary cap college fantasy football, we will be having the same games available for entry, so be sure to join up and play. Like I always say, there’s a lot of money to be made out there. For those of you still in 2011 fantasy baseball leagues who have playoffs to worry about, check out some key names who are either coming or going with injuries for this new week.

OF, Carlos Quentin/Chicago White Sox: As of August 21, Carlos Quentin has been on the 15-day DL with a sprained left shoulder. He was eligible to come off today, but will most likely be kept on the DL because he is too far from a return and his shoulder is not yet ready for big league action. Consider Quentin down and out for at least the next two weeks.

OF, Cameron Maybin/San Diego Padres: Cameron Maybin has missed a string of 8 games because of a sore right wrist. He was hitting well up until that point and was also providing fantasy owners with good speed on the base paths too. He is penciled in for today’s game against the Giants, so we will see if he can step right in and continue to rake at the plate, or if he will need a few games to get his stroke back under him. Based on the season he’s having so far, I don’t think it will take him too long to get re-adjusted. Look for Maybin to have a solid week’s output beginning today–Monday.

SP, Stephen Strasburg/Washington Nationals: Stephen Strasburg is scheduled to make his first start of this season on Tuesday night, at home, against the Dodgers. Hopefully all will go well for him, so that potential fantasy owners for next year can be excited for what this kid has to offer. Having Tommy John surgery pretty much ruined Strasburg’s rookie year and most of his sophomore year, so next year, which will be his third, should be a coming out party for the flame thrower.

Remember to be a part of all the 2011 salary cap college fantasy football excitement at Fantazzle. This is the first year that we are doing it, so we’ll be sure to kick things off the right way as you saw in week 1 with the free roll, $100 prize. Entry fees and prizes may change on a week to week basis, but you get the point, either way you go, there is still plenty of money to be won off of what you know in this world of sports!

The NFL regular season is also starting this Thursday at 8pm, with the Saints taking on the Green Bay Packers, so be sure to get your lineups in for week 1 of 2011 NFL fantasy football action as well. We have weekly fantasy football games and monthly ones too, so choose your strategy and pick which ever one works best for you. As always take care, enjoy the week, and go make that money!

2011 Fantazzle Fantasy Sports Extravaganza!

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Hello everyone,

We have another exciting week for you going on @ Fantazzle.  NFL football’s 2011 regular season is just about two more weeks away. The 2011 lingerie fantasy football game powered by Fantazzle has already started sign ups. If you haven’t submitted your lineup already, no worries, there will be weekly sign ups moving forward, so you still have time to play. The grand prize winner of the Lingerie fantasy game will get an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas for the Lingerie Bowl, so don’t miss out on this one!

Also, 2011 fantasy baseball playoffs are either here for this week, or will be here next week, so lets go over some key baseball injury reports for those of you who are in your fantasy baseball playoffs. This is the time of year that we all play for, the playoffs! Make sure to set your best lineup, because you never know, this may be your final time doing it for this season if you lose.

SS, Jose Reyes/New York Mets: Reyes has already played two minor league rehab games over the weekend. He even hit a home run on Friday, so things are looking good for our speedster. Look for him to be inserted back into the major league lineup at some point early on in this new week. It is safe to roll him and with it being fantasy playoff time, considering how good he’s been playing all season long, it would be a risk worth taking to start Jose Reyes.

3B, Adrian Beltre/Texas Rangers: Beltre will be out for a little longer than Reyes, but is still expected back during this week. His first rehab appearance is scheduled for today, Monday and then a second one on Tuesday. If all goes well, we could see Adrian Beltre back by maybe Thursday or Friday. If you are in desperate need of his bat, you can take a risk and play him in your weekly lineup, but if you have  a better back up option I would use it.

OF, Shin-Soo Choo/Cleveland Indians: Choo was taken out of Saturday night’s game because of general soreness on his left side. This sounds like a very minor thing and I doubt he misses much time because of it. Choo was scratched from Sunday’s game in order to get some rest, so he should be ok going forward into this week. He’s been ripping up at the plate as of late, so I don’t suspect he will miss too much time, if any, going forward for this week. Roll him with confidence.

Also folks, college fantasy football games are now available @ Fantazzle for the first time ever, so be sure to check that out and be amongst the first to experience our new game at the site. The first round of college games will be kicking off with a bang on Thursday, September 1 at 6:05 pm, so be there and be sure to take advantage and go for the big cash prizes.

Just when you thought we had fantasy games out the frame, we go and add another one, welcome to fantasy heaven! On Thursday, September 8, the weekly NFL salary cap game will be starting, so be sure to get your entry fees in for that as well. As always, there is much going on @ Fantazzle, you can only come along and be a part of it while making some money while your at it. Take care and good luck

2011 Fantasy Baseball Regular Season Nearing its End! Playoffs Around the Corner

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

Good afternoon all,

In most formats around the web, the 2011 fantasy baseball playoffs will begin either next week or the week after. For those of us who will still have a fantasy baseball season after the fantasy regular season ends (playoff teams), we still need to keep updated on the injuries for these next few weeks. Daily and weekly leaguers, also keep in mind that there are some double headers for this week. Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Seattle, Cleveland and the Yankees all have double headers scheduled for this week, so keep that in mind when selecting your lineups. For this week’s injuries, check out below who’s coming and going for this week of fantasy baseball action.

SS, Jose Reyes/New York Mets: Jose Reyes looks like he will be out for at least another week of big league action. He was able to do some intense running prior to Sunday’s game. On Monday he will run the bases once again with more intensity. If everything goes well with running the bases, Reyes’ next step will be a couple of rehab games in he minors. Daily leaguers, keep a watchful eye on Jose Reyes for this week, but Weekly leaguers, you can just put him on the shelf until next week, at least!

3B, Alex Rodriguez/New York Yankees: A-Rod returned to the Yankees lineup on Sunday after being out since July 7th on the disabled list following surgery on his right knee (torn meniscus). In his return, he played third base, hit cleanup and went 0-5 on the day. I would expect A-Rod to pick up rather quickly right where he left off before getting hurt.

3B/OF, Jose Bautista/Toronto Blue Jays: Beast mode was scratched from Saturday’s lineup due to a stiff neck, something that he had also missed games for earlier on in the season. He returned to the lineup on Sunday however, and scored the game’s only run with his 36th homer of the year. The Jays went on to win that game 1-0. Because of the fact Bautista had dealt with neck tightness earlier on in the year, the Jays opted to rest him on Saturday instead of making him play through it. It looks like he responded well to the rest, he should be a safe play moving forward.

Remember all, 2011 weekly fantasy football games will be starting up @ Fantazzle in 17 days so get your draft boards ready! As usual, daily and weekly baseball games are available for entry right now, so get your entry fees and your lineups in before the games start today. Everyone remember to have fun with this and I’ll see you next week!

Fantasy Baseball Injuries and Fantasy Football Right Around the Corner!

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Good afternoon all,

The fantasy football season @ Fantazzle.com is looming ahead. We’re almost there. Just hang on for a little while longer and you’ll be drafting, playing and winning money in no time! Fantasy football games will be starting in September (games will be live this week, however) so stay on your toes and do your research until then. As for 2011 Fantasy baseball, we’re right in the mix of things. Managers have fallen out of contention and will be preparing for the consolation rounds, others have been strong all year and are preparing for playoffs, while the in-betweeners have been battling along, trying to maintain a .500 record, probably due to  nagging, weekly injuries like these below:

3B, Adrian Beltre/Texas Rangers: Beltre has been out for the past three weeks with a strained hamstring. He was supposed to be back sooner, but re-aggravated his injury during the rehab process. He did however, take the road trip with his team over the weekend, but did not play. He could be just one or two more weeks away from a return, so daily and weekly fantasy baseball leaguers, look elsewhere for third base help.

1B, Paul Konerko/Chicago White Sox: Regardless of PK’s supposed knee injury that resulted from him getting hit by a pitch last week, he seems to be hitting the ball just fine out of the DH spot, so Ozzie Guillen continues to keep him in the lineup even though he can’t run that well. Konerko is a tough soldier and has played hurt before. Last year he was hit in the face by a pitch and didn’t even leave the game. He got up, wiped the blood off with the training staff and jogged over to first base. Keep Konerko in your lineups and you can still expect him to produce as he did this past week.

2B, Brandon Phillips/Cincinnati Reds: Brandon Phillips had missed four starts last week after being hit in the elbow by a pitch on August 9th. He returned however, on Sunday and should be a safe bet going forward. Phillips is having another productive year in 2011 hitting .285/11/63. Consider those missed four starts just a minor bump in the road and play him in your lineups with confidence.

Remember everyone, Fantazzle’s Game of Gurus is starting again for this week so remember to join and test your knowledge against Fantasy’s best! More weekly and daily leagues are of course, always available as usual, so we hope you play and continue to have fun while making some money on the side. Remember to get your lineups in before 7 pm tonight!

Enjoy the week!

Week of August 8, 2011, at Fantazzle Fantasy Sports Games

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Good Afternoon,

Many of the players who were traded right before the deadline this season are making good first impressions so far with their new teams. Michael Bourn has started off well with Atlanta, Hunter Pence is swinging a hot bat in Philly, Furcal is hitting well with the Cards and Colby Rasmus is starting to heat up with Toronto.

While the players above will continue to contribute to their fantasy owners’ success, look for these names below to be possible candidates to miss some action in the coming days or weeks:

OF, Melky Cabrera/Kansas City Royals: Melky Cabrera was pulled from Saturday night’s game because of a sore left ankle. He hurt that same left ankle earlier in the week, so he might get extended time off for the ankle to fully recover. He was scratched from Sunday’s game and whether he will play or not on Monday, against the Rays, is yet to be seen. The Royals don’t seem to be making too much of the issue, so for right now it doesn’t seem too serious. Melky is considered day-to-day for now.

C/DH, Victor Martinez/Detroit Tigers: V-mart twisted his knee while trying to avoid a tag at home plate during Saturday’s game. He was scratched from the lineup on Sunday against the Royals. Jim Leyland did say however, that Martinez looked better and was walking around comfortably at the hotel and onto the team bus, which was a very positive sign. Considering this news, look for V-Mart to miss maybe a few starts at worst or none at all. A trip to the DL would be a surprise.

SS, Jose Reyes/New York Mets: Jose Reyes left in the second inning of Sunday’s ball game against Atlanta with tightness in his left hamstring; the same hamstring that landed him on the DL in July. Whether Jose Reyes goes back to the disabled list or not, it doesn’t look like he’ll be a full go for much baseball this week anyway, so keep him on your benches for week 19 of fantasy baseball.

Remember all, the lingerie Football Fantasy League season is coming around the corner. The girls will be starting their season on August 26, 2011, at 9pm CT with the Minnesota Valkyrie facing the Green Bay Chill with the playoffs beginning  January 28, 2012. So don’t forget to play the LFL Fantasy Football game powered by Fantazzle and select your dime pieces to carry you to glory!

Fantazzle’s Game of Gurus begins again tonight and there is still a $1,000 prize waiting to be had — Compete against Baseball Reflections! On top of that there are guaranteed prizes and bonus prizes each week! We also have weekly fantasy baseball, daily fantasy baseball challenge and salary cap starting tonight at 7:05pm ET!

Enjoy your week!

Fantasy Baseball Update and Games for the Week

Monday, August 1st, 2011

Good afternoon,

After a wild and crazy couple of days in the sports world, we have seen many players on the move. Many players will now have a new opportunity to turn in some type of relevance for the remainder of the year in fantasy baseball. Colby Rasmus, Derek Lee, Rafael Furcal, Ubaldo Jimenez, Hunter Pence and Michael Bourn are just a few of the players who will be able to start fresh and contribute to their new teams in their new roles.

While many of the players above will certainly be looking to help their fantasy owners this week, beware of the following players who may need to sit a few games before getting back in the lineup:

by David Lawson

1B, Paul Konerko/Chicago White Sox: After being hit by a pitch on his left calf during Sunday’s game,Paul Konerko was removed from the lineup and given the rest of the day off. After X-rays were taken, only a bruise was revealed. Consider the injury minor and expect to see Paully back in the White Sox lineup on Monday, at home, against the New York Yankees; a series in which Ozzie Guillen will most assuredly want Konerko to be a part of.
OF, Lance Berkman/St. Louis Cardinals: Berkman returned to the Cardinals lineup in a big way on Sunday night after missing the last four games with a sore shoulder; he went 1 for 4, hitting a three-run homer. It looks safe to roll him this week.
OF, Denard Span/Minnesota Twins: Out with a concussion since June 7th, Denard Span is finally ready to make his return with the Twins on Tuesday against the Angels. He was hitting .294 before he went down, so it will be interesting to see if he can pick up right where he left off with the hot bat, or if he will need a little time at first to regain his comfort level back up at the plate.

Remember all, Fantazzle’s Game of Gurus begins tonight and there is still a $1,000 prize waiting to be had — Compete against the Fantasy Baseball Insiders! On top of that there are guaranteed prizes and bonus prizes each week! We also have monthly fantasy baseball, weekly fantasy baseball and daily fantasy baseball challenge and salary cap starting tonight at 7:05pm ET!

Get your golf bags ready for another big week of fantasy golf games at Fantazzle, too! Fantasy Golf games are now available for the Bridgestone Invitational!

Enjoy your week,

Check out These Fantasy Baseball Injury Updates Before Submitting Your Lineups!

by David Lawson

OF, Vladimir Guerrero/Baltimore Orioles could be activated from the DL by Tuesday’s series opener at Toronto. Guerrero has been out of action since the All-Star break after being hit by a pitch on his right hand. Guerrero has already played a rehab game for Class-AA Bowie on Sunday, so he looks like a full-go here in week 17 of fantasy baseball.

OF, Carlos Gonzalez/Colorado Rockies was placed on the 15-day DL Friday after he fouled off a pitch in a game this past Thursday. He was holding his wrist in obvious pain and was forced to leave the game. They’re calling his injury “strained and inflamed ligaments,” which just requires rest for the most part. Hopefully this two week rest period for Cargo will be all his owners need for him to make a healthy comeback with fantasy baseball playoffs looming.

3B, Adrian Beltre/Texas Rangers has a grade 1 strain of the hamstring and will miss the next two to three weeks. This is the first time Adrian Beltre has been ruled out for that much time, so he has turned in a relatively healthy year for his owners. This rest period for Beltre could even be a good thing as he will come back on fresh legs, rested and ready to have a strong finish to the year.

Good luck to all this week in your fantasy sports ventures!
