Football's just as strategic a game as poker. In fact, things as notoriously indeterminate as even the weather can play a role--and thus play into decisionmaking. I mean, why else would there be sites like www.NFLWeather.com that cater EXCLUSIVELY to forecasting weather for football games? (Incidentally, that's an excellent resource for any NFL fans out there. Updated twice an hour. No pop-ups or other garbage. Grade A!)
